The Technical University in Zvolen in cooperation with the Technical University of Vienna and the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague started the implementation of the project "Benchmarking of Close-Range Photogrammetry Methods for Forestry Applications". benchmarking between partner institutions, comparing methods and methods for deriving a strain thickness of 1.3 m, the morphological curve of the strain, and tree positions.

It also verifies the integration of the prototype of the multi-camera device for near photogrammetry and the prototype of the mobile inertial navigation system developed by the staff of the research organizations. Technical facilities and procedures are being developed in regard to optimisation of the collection of detailed and accurate data on forest stands.
